Our history...

The construction of the Haus Malibu started in 1985 and the name comes from "MAL" as in Malaybalay, "I" from in, and "BU" from Bukidnon which is the name of the region. In other words the name of the Hotel is a shortened version of  Malaybalay in Bukidnon.

The official opening was in 1987, the Hotel then  boasting 10 rooms and it was extended to 21 rooms plus conference room in 1994/1995.

The Haus Malibu now hosts meetings, seminars and events of all sizes - from small gatherings to large conferences.

The Haus Malibu stands 620 Meters above sea level making the temperature slightly cooler and the climate very pleasant. It is settled in a charming rural environment and is surrounded by mountain ranges from all sides. This is absolutely breathtaking scenery - do not forget your camera! Not far away to the west we have the magnificent Kitanglad National Park with Mount Kitanglad rising to 2900 Meters, the fourth highest mountain in the Philippines. You don't have to climb to anywhere near the peak to enjoy the unbelievable views......
